Muslim World League London Office is concerned with the escalating terror attacks
Muslim World League London office is deeply shocked and concerned by the many terrorist attacks that are witnessed recently. It is further worried for the alarmingly escalating attacks.In March 2016 alone we have seen shocking attacks in Pakistan, Turkey and Belgium. On 13 March 2016, in Ankara Turkey, at least, 37 people were killed and 125 injured in a bombing.
On March 22, 2016, we have witnessed the attack on Belgium’s airport and metro station in Brussels, Belgium.
Then on 27 March 2016, in Lahore Pakistan, at least, 75 people were killed and over 340 injured in a suicide bombing that hit the main entrance of Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park, one of the largest parks.
The Secretariat General of the Muslim World League, H. E. Dr. Sheikh Abdullah Ibn Abdulmohsin Alturki, called upon Arab and Muslim countries as well as international community to muster local , regional and international efforts to combat these terrorist acts that aim at destabilising security and stability.
“These terrorist acts targeted innocent people and disseminated intimidation among tranquil at safe communities leading tranquil life. Such acts stands at variance with Islamic, humanitarian and international principles” , said H. E. Dr. Al-Turki.
MWLLO reaffirm that the perpetrators of this heinous act go against the fundamental teachings of Islam, which encourages the safeguarding of all human life.
MWLLO request all to join and cooperate with each other to stop these heinous killings.
Allah says in the Quran: “Whoever saves a life it is as if he has saved the life of the whole humanity.” (Quran 5:32) This also means, whoever kills a life it is as if he has killed the whole of humanity.
